Actually immune disorders are not JUST genetic, the health of the immune system is based on genetic diversity. The less genetically diverse a dog is, the worse the immune system is. While inbreeding properly can decrease health defects such as HD, patellar luxation, RD, etc., inbreeding will always increase immune disorders due to loss of genetic diversity. The vast majority of Cavaliers have some type of immune disorder--allergies of any type, recurring yeasty ears, thrombocytopenia (30%!), dry eye, IBD, sudden death due to overwhelming infection, demodectic mange and a multitude of other things such as lupus, myasenthia gravis, myositis or any kind of weird stuff. It is everywhere!
