Not only have I submitted late assessments there have been times when I forgot to do an assessment and when it was completed it of course was out of the PPS schedule, which in turn caused default payment.  No one is perfect and if the prior MDS coordinators never had a late assessment, I would assume that he/she lied.  I could be mistaken and I am not saying that anyone lied, but there is no way to not miss something now and then.
