Nothing like "good old" wordstar commands. I doubt that MC is installed by "default" anymore than joe is. Sadly vi is on any system. My personal preference is anything but vi except in the case of dire emergency. One must admit it is pretty darn difficult to surpass the functionality available at the command line with mc.
