I have never tasted a pineapple that I didn't like. However, there are other foods that I don't like, regardless of how they are prepared. Rice is one case in point. The only form of rice I like is a rice crispy treat or a bowl of them. If you use eggs in a pie crust or in a cake, and it has any hint of egg flavor, no thanks. This is why I posted earlier that if someone does not like pineapple rings or crushed pineapple, they might not like fresh pineapple. To me, pineapple is pineapple. Other people may see it differently, though.

As a blind person, it is understandable that you may have had bad experiences with types of food, such as pineapple. There are many different ways to sell pineapple in stores. There are whole pineapples, there are sliced pineapples, ring pineapples, chunk pineapple. It is also sold in a can. Those varieties include rings, chunks, tid-bits, and crushed. The canned variety also comes in syrup, juice, light syrup, or water. These are all things that you should be aware of, especially as a blind person, when you are shopping for food. Simply because you do not like the food prepared one way, does not mean that you might enjoy it a different way.

The best tool that I have discovered, is searching online at the store I frequent. I also use a grocery delivery service, like Cheryl. All of their food is available to look at online, so I can use my screen reader to describe, and tell me what types and variety of food are available. Even if you do not have grocery delivery service in your area, you should still be able to search their menu of products. That goes the same with any store that sells food. If they are available online, take a look at what is soul. It will give you a better idea of what types of food are possibly available at your local version of a store.
