GEORGIA The water settles to the bottom of the tanks .During preflight you have I hope a fuel sampler tube that lets you see what is coming out of the mains when you drain them .you can see the water on the bottom if there is any keep draining until there isn't a trace of water. The next place to see water is from the Gascolator near the carbureator it has a drain on it too -bottom side. same procedure drain until no water the header tank could have water some of us do. Some of the cure is to keep the tanks full after flight less chance of condensation. You do not have to drain out all your fuel just the water.Sometimes the water looks rusty or brown DUMP IT KEEP DUMPING until there isn't any.A good thing to do is grab a wing tip and shake the plane slightly to get all the water in the sump first then drain it from the mains Hope this helps dennis 99564 cold ILL
