The water settles to the bottom of the tanks .During preflight you have I
hope  a fuel sampler tube that lets you see what is coming out of the
mains
when you drain them .you can see the water on the bottom if there is any
keep
draining until there isn't a trace of water.The next place to see water is
from the Gascolator near the carbureator it has a drain on it too -bottom
side. same procedure drain until no water the header tank could have water
some of us do. Some of the cure is to keep the tanks full after flight
less
chance of condensation.You do not have to drain out all your fuel just the
water.Sometimes the water looks rusty or brown  DUMP IT KEEP DUMPING
until
there isn't any.A good thing to do is grab a wing tip and shake the plane
slightly to get all the water in the sump first then drain it from the
mains
