Hi Georgia:

In the short time I've had the Coupe I have never found water in my sumps.
I park outside with a good cover, (Bruce's) fly in rain storms, and don't
necessarily top off my tanks after each flight.

I do make sure my gaskets are in good condition and that my header tank
fuel gage has the plastic rain shield in place.

My previous plane was an Areonca 7AC which was exclusively fueled
with auto fuel. I never had water with that plane either.

However I DO religiously drain my sumps as part of every pre flight.
I brush away any standing water before opening my tank cap to gage
the fuel.

Even though I have never had a water problem the next flight might
be where I have my first.

(after all I had never had a carb fire either)

Cheers:

Paul
