Folks, While it is certainly illegal to perform some of the work discussed here, it's not illegal to discuss it. At least, not by the Constitution I've read. When I first bought my 'Coupe, a less-than-honest AP could've put a blender under the cowling for all I knew. Fortunately, I have an excellent AP with unimpeachable integrity, and this community to help me to learn about the care and feeding of 'Coupes. This forum has helped me to understand much about the upkeep of my plane, and what to look for. It has caused me to suggest things to be looked at by my AP, and on occasion I have sought information for him from this group. I wouldn't have the foggiest notion how to do any of it myself, but I'm convinced that I bought a better plane, and maintain it better because of the information I've gotten through this list. Personally, I think that's all for the betterment of GA in general, and 'Coupe preservation in particular. It would be a shame to curtail a terrific source of information because of what one might assume others are doing.
