service, will go somewhere else.  All they care about are results, not
blame or punishing the guilty.

This has to do with spam and the like so I thought it would be of
interest to the list.

Sometime yesterday, any email addressed @twcny.rr.com was coming back as
undeliverable.  Examination of logs shows that they are refusing all
email coming from 216.153.138, and entire block of class C addreses, of
which I only have 32.

So, I followed the instructions given in the log file, went the web
site, sent them an email.  The clock is ticking.

I call Road Runner tech support, get a level 3 tech, who says he can't
see that anything is being blocked.  He sends me an email about an hour
later saying that all issues of this type have to be resonded to by
email, the same email I had already sent, and that it would take 24 to
72 hours for a response.

I have been in this biz for 7 years and never had an issue like this.

They are not following the RFC's as I understand them, as they are
punishing everyone with a mail server in the Class C, for something that
probably only one email server was involved with.  I was not sent an
email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] informing me of any issues.

At this point, I've returned the favor.  Road Runner is blacklisted. I
have sent an email to my users explaining the inappropriate blocking of
email by roadrunner.  Perhaps if Road Runner gets enough complaints from
their users, they will rethink their excessive enforcement policy.
