I think SPEWS is working just great... Look at what you guys had to do...
Covad had to actually do something other than ignore the abuse complaints
about their spam spewing customers (which they have many of).. plus you
cannot , I repeat cannot contact the SPEWS admins, read the FAQ on their
Website ( www.spews.org )... Again we are dealing with ignorant ( not rude)
people who cannot be bothered to read documentation or FAQ's but would
rather rant and rave at the injustice and unfairness of it all and pull the
old poor me routine instead of addressing and resolving the problem.

we had a run-in with SPEWS last month;  a customer of ours uses DSL supplied
by COVAD with an 8-IP block;  SPEWS blocked the entire class-C due to
another complaints about another organization with another 8-block on that
same class-C -

requests to SPEWS were on no use -

It took me calling covad to get involved before it was taken care of -
another case of the innocent guys falling victim to trigger happy soles....
