A short thought on this one:
VS supports .Net 2.0 because VS is Microsoft's product - they simply have the
specs sooner than any other vendor! Now, the way I see it, Microsoft is
traying to do - again! - the same thing it always did to get their money: not
doing some good work on their products, but performing a vendor lock-in.
Everybody starts using their product - alternatives dissapear from the market
- the prices of Microsoft's solution skyrocket. And there are no alternatives
- then it's too late. Consider this.
I thank the Deity, or whatever is "up there" that I have moved to Linux a few
years ago.
