Interesting. Wonder what their games division thinks of trying to develop on .NET? (apart from the net comms side of multiplayer games). >Delphi Win32 > isn't going to go away for quite a few years I suspect, but I also don't > think that it would be sensible for Borland to spend its money in a 64 bit > compiler (especially when the performance simply isn't there from these > processors yet). The G5 computer might spur things on there. You continue to scare me. In past there wasnt much problem using Delphi for performance computing but sounds like that is dead. Delphi going to be alternative to VB .NET instead of competitor for Visual C++. Its just so slow getting a C++ application to work as intended. ---------------------------------------------------------- Phil Scadden, Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences 764 Cumberland St, Private Bag 1930, Dunedin, New Zealand Ph +64 3 4799663, fax +64 3 477 5232 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Zealand Delphi Users group - Delphi List - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Website: http://www.delphi.org.nz To UnSub, send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] with body of "unsubscribe delphi" Web Archive at: http://www.mail-archive.com/delphi%40delphi.org.nz/
