Your welcome to write this specification(s). If the document becomes to big at any state it is also possible to separate it later and include links to the related specifications I think. Start as you like. For specifications there is a new template under development available at http://specs.openoffice.org/collaterals/template/OpenOffice-org-Specification-Template.ott. You can try it and give feedback or ask questions at the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailinglist. Maybe you have less problems using the older template at http://specs.openoffice.org/collaterals/Specification_template.stw
