For terms that may not be clear without context or technical background,
it would be nice to provide a sentence or two as comment though.

The glossary should also be checked-in to CVS in a file format that is
not binary, e.g. plain text, to allow people to concurrently work
together for further definitions of terms then. A binary file format
such as an (internally zipped, not flat XML) spreadsheet, which was used
for the first release of the glossary, is not suitable for CVS team
work.
