Please, everyone get a grip here, the facts are: 1) Lenya is required to have Project Guidelines by the ASF 2) The guidelines need to be discussed and agreed by *everyone* 3) How the discussion is started is irrelevant

Please, allow me, as an outsider with no "side" at all, to make a suggestion to help move things on from here:
i appreciate the input, but at the same time i am wondering what is wrong with starting with the forrest guidelines? they represent a lot of research and discussion, and incorporate a lot of the lessons learned from across the ASF. there better be a damn good reason to throw all that away, only to re-create it's contents later. 'because we can' is not that reason.
