Hi Kami, *
first .. I welcome the idea of OxygenOffice, as I think, that t is
importand for us to have ideas that drive us forward.
But I'd like to write som of my thoughts, why OxgenOffice is not that
welcomned as you might wish. (Not to offend you, but to give you some
feedback.)
I completly second Andre's view here.
I jump to where I have several comments to add

2nd: Branding an own product, promoting it, namit it "professional"
seems to be much more than "just for development". I think, you are
doing a good job with OxygenOffice but maybe you are not aware about the
effects.
As Sophie said - OOo is not a playground. OOo is deployed in
administrations, companies and is one of the best known OpenSource
software products. So although you might have the best intentions naming
your project "premium" or "professional" , this is very unfortunate to
OpenOffice.org. Why? Just because if there is a "professional/premium"
product, this discredits the one that has not "professional/premium" in
it's name. We got questions from users, who asked where to by OOo
premium, because they only own the non-cost version.
So .. OO Professional is 99% OpenOffice, has some extras (many of them
are contributions collected at the OOo project) but it seems to be the
"much better Office". .. very unfortunate :-(
More, the legal issues that are present in the version has lead me to
take a really hard position in front of it. I have had to explain myself
in front of ministries, schools and several users.
We are working anytime to improve the quality of OOo to make it a
plausible alternative in environments that are sometime very hostiles.
Releasing out a version that could have been validated by our project
but presenting several legal issues is exposing ourself to loose
definitely the credibility we have put a long time and hard efforts to gain.
So please be aware that even with the best intention and even if your
idea is great, doing things by yourself in this way is really damageable
for all of us including your version too.
I won't conduct the FR project resources out of the OOo project, I won't
myself participate to another OOo based product using the community work
if it's not in OOo repository or if anything is not given in return to
the OOo project.
So please consider that if you want our help in building and promoting
your idea, you should join the documentation project and work it out
here with the community.
Kind regards
Sophie
