No, it's valid until the other page gets fixed. And at the rate OOo moves
that's going to be a long time. If I could trust the support page to be
fixed soon I might agree with you. I have *TRIED* to get the support page
updated, and nothing.

No, removing links to help items is not the way to improve usability.
And you are ending them to a page which is not helpful. The support page
does not meet the requirements of a user seeking help. I can't even figure
out what requirements it's intended to meet.

OOo doesn't come with useful documentation though. If it did I might agree
with you (perhaps). And even then, documentation, mailing lists and forums
are still a top priority item for site visitors.

I'm glad.

NO. The development page is NOT intended for new volunteers. That's not
the target audience, that's not its purpose. It is there as a massive
resource for existing developers already familiar with OOo.

If the "development" tab is replaced by a "contributing" tab that goes to
the contributing page I'll be happy. Somehow I'm not holdin gmy breath.

A site should be designed to work on any resolution.
The resolution is not the cause of the problems i listed.
