I just want to prevent it being pushed to nowhen, which could happen very fast. What are you guys thinking about regular meetings? Nothing required for all developers to attend but I guess this would help to solve the communication-issue Eric mentioned. I think about once every one or two months.

I thought most active developers already knew me, but if you ask for it - why not? I'll do this in the next days.

Is there a ticket on the preferences reduction, a wiki page, or any information about it? How about mockups? I can see that topic taking 5 days in a meeting if there is no direction. It's a rather blanket topic "hey let's reduce the preferences I don't like!" with no reasoning behind it. Beyond that, my guess is that a lot of users don't even look at preferences very much, so is there something quantitative (i.e. that you can measure) saying how many users actually even open preferences more than once for instance, and where they go?

I was under the impression that everyone here had a firm understanding that 1.4.3 is coming out soon, and that 1.5 was going to beta right after that. Are these the only topics you wanted to discuss? If so I'd consider being a bit more patient about everyone's schedules. I'd even consider that topics 1 and 2 could be discussed politely via this very mailing list, and that topic 3 could wait until a meeting with more pressing matters.

Also, perhaps it's a good idea to introduce yourself to the group (in a new thread).
