Yes, this is all true.  However most conventions I attend are scheduled around 
very busy, highly-contested holiday weekends.  And yet they get rates like 
$99/night.

LISA is way deep in the off season, using up a *LOT* of room nights, and paying 
for a lot of extra services.  They've got everything in their favor.
