I think that if I was a CO who had hired some SAs that jumped ship after a year for a mediocre increase I would be tempted to consider outsourcing as a better alternative; maybe not the best option, but certainly better than wasting resources on a flight risk. Recognizing that this third option exists, and that it is worth the effort, would go a long way in promoting our industry. As SAs and managers of SAs we should promote this idea as much as possible.
