*This is a good discussion but I think the Policy should be for the Board to use in the event that something like this happens and maybe a tweaking of the Code of Ethics might be in order.* * * But why keep it for just the board? In my mind, creating specific language regarding harassment is about fostering a culture of respect for and among practitioners. It is fundamental in continuing to add value to what we do and how we are perceived as a community.
Yes, we create something to be prepared. But the policy isn't going to be a standalone policy or portion of the code of ethics. If we don't value our members' most basic rights to dignity and respect, how are going to expect future members to do the same?
