One small vote here for the NAS route, although I realise I am in a minority! A dedicated SqueezeBox Server machine is essentially a one-trick pony. It will work very well but go that route and you will end up with your NAS *and* the server on permanently. The reason to go the NAS route is if you will use it for some or all of its other features and only want one box switched on 24/7 not two. See my post below for my reasons for using a NAS. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79211 I would heartily recommend the Synology line. Their SBS package is excellent and their other applications are very powerful too. Don't bother with a two-drive (or more) machine, one is fine provided you back it up regularly. I would go either for the 109 (not J) or the 110+ if you want a lot of power (at a greater cost). -- TheLastMan Matt *SqueezeBoxes:* SB Duet (Controller + two receivers) *Server:* Synology Diskstation 107+ NAS (with firmware 2.3-1157) running Squeezebox Server 7.5.0 on Synology Package Manager *Network:* Netgear DG834GT ADSL modem/router, 2 x Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 as access points *Livingroom:* Receiver into Naim 42/110 amp, B&W CM2 speakers *Kitchen:* Receiver into Denon DM37 mini-system, B&W 686 speakers *Study:* Linn LP12, Naim 72/Hi-cap/Headline.
