That's the whole deal chuck your server in the basement control the players from their ir-remotes controllers iPods/Phones or net books or laptops. Squeezeboxserver that you install in order to use the local files, has an web interface you can use with firefox for example , many people miss the fact that this interface is available to all PC's on the local network(or more if you fiddle with your router) The server needs only to be installed on one machine .So you can walk by any computer in the home and change the music in any room . Btw if you get more than one player they can be synced for parties or such... -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe' Primare and Dynadio speakers, Contour 4 Contour Center, and Contour 1.3SE for the rear ch.
