Yes, I see your points. Well, I cannot say this happens for the Italian group, since the QA group does a great work in following users, but I understand. IMO, your proposal should be replicated on the native lang lists and user one. Both have representatives in the Council and you may do some good lobbying. Hired professionals for QA is an hard question because you need resources to have them. I think it can be done by reaching a critical mass of sponsors. I suppose Sun would have nothing against such an important work done by full-time professionals. It is in its own interest to produce good quality software (StarOffice). Suggestion: it'd be better to change the subject of this thread, since the topic has changed a lot from the original (mostly personal) message.
