I've seen the exchange between Ilene Courland, the list, and Paul Vail, and
may I just say, as someone who's done business with Paul on a 2400c with
pretty much the same problem (a blown fuse), that he has been completely
above board in his transactions, and has been one of the most upstanding
members of this list. I, too, was surprised to see him savaged by Ilene, to
whom this list has been very kind and generous with advice (some more
helpful than others, but that's the way it goes) over her looong period of
agonizing about what to do with her machine before finally sending it off.
It takes some time to get to know the regular people on this list--though I
don't post much, I've been here almost from the beginning and follow nearly
all the posts with great interest, OT or not; although I appreciate Ilene's
distress, I thought that posting her "private" message about Paul--unedited,
with no consideration for anything but her machine (I guess that's all we're
here, for, eh?--the good health of our machines :) was uncalled for. Forget
this, Paul, and help the rest of us.
