Rob, I don't appreciate your condescending tone, but I am interested in what you have to say. If you can explain to me why my 2400c cannot use the video adapter that I purchased, or the one supplied with the 3400c, I will gladly run right out and buy an adapter with dip switches. I am not in a position to modify any cables or adapters at present, though. Apple shipped both the 1710AV and the PowerBook with adapters which did not feature any switches and no one on list other than yourself has mentioned utilizing one. But, unfortunately, I am at the end of the proverbial road right now (having installed 8.1 and display software 1.7.1 with no luck.) Whatever you can tell me will be appreciated.
