Not necessarily true. If, for example, equipment in the shack is not properly bonded together, an antenna close to the shack will put a lot of RF in the shack, which will induce RF onto cables connected to equipment, and is likely to couple into equipment. If an antenna is working as an antenna and it's close to the shack, it WILL put RF in the shack -- that's what it is intended to do!
