So?  Unless you're going to minimize and immediately maximize the 
window, it's not a concern.

As soon as it opens, you know where it is.

Option-minimize minimizes all windows in that application.

Of course, switching to the Finder and hiding others (which can also be 
done in earlier OSs) is a much better solution.
