Hi Mark,
 There are only a few problems that ever happen with emailer. One of them 
involves the database. Try launching Emailer, while holding down the 
apple & option keys until it asks if you want to "rebuild". Choose normal 
rebuild, and go run some errands, or go to sleep for the night. It may 
take a few hours. Hopefully, that will fix it. 

If not, do it again, this time choosing "advanced rebuild". Don't do the 
advanced rebuild unless required. 

If all else fails, and you REALLY need those emails, you can open the 
database with a text editor (BBEdit lite is free) and fish through it. 
Not pretty at all, but your words are in there, even if a bit jumbled. 
Chances are good that there is also something wrong with your hard drive, 
perhaps a bad block, and that's what caused the problem. You might even 
get away with copying the database to a new folder or drive and see if it 
copies ok. That might even fix it ... (fingers crossed). Hope this helps.
