Have you tried rebuilding the database lately? Hold dowm the <option key>
when you launch Emailer and you will be presented with two options, the
first usually suffices. The second advanced option will help with fairly
serious database corruptions but it is not perfect.

200Mbyte? That's small! I had over 450Mbyte in Emailer's database before
I found a method of backing up folders to a Filemaker Pro database. Visit
the fogcity website for more details. It will provide advice on backing
up if you don't have a copy of Emailer.

You may find that in rebuilding the database you will end up with extra
'Orphaned Folders'. These can be deleted once you are sure their contents
have been filed elswhere. I recently encountered these folders during a
recent rebuild but dealt with them satisfactorily once I was sure they
merely held duplicates of messages stored elsewhere.

By rebuilding and regular backing up you will find Emailer will run much
more quickly.

Regards

Phil.

PS - You may encounter a phenomena in which upon single-clicking a folder
its contents appear empty. Try double-clicking and thereby launching a
second window. I've found you can select and drag back any messages you
find there into its parent window. Why this happens, I'm not sure, but
you will find the phenomena documented in some Emailer websites. Hope
this helps.
