I was running version 1 until version 2 came out. Then, upgraded to v2.03
in early '98 (if I remember correctly) when it was first released. I
remember running the upgrade process on the mail database very well from
v1 to v2. I've had no problems with that DB (or Emailer as a whole) until
now,

Files from the old versions were removed when I upgraded. No, I'm not
trying to open a v2 DB with a v1 app. I'm guessing the error message is a
misinterpretation when it sees a damaged DB.

Emailer now works fine with a new mail DB, but the problem persists when
I move the old one back in, even after trying each of the recommended
fixes from the kind list members.
