I too wonder why one would go looking in the Desktop folder for ones' 
hard drives when they can be found on the Desktop as well a when the 
Computer icon and Finder (first) is clicked.

I agree bitching rights go to the people actually using the most 
up-to-date versions of their versions. (But - um - 10.2.4 is not quite 
out yet, is it? I just checked Software Update - I know the developer 
seed is out, but haven't installed it yet.)
