Once you have located the correct files folder, start Emailer while
holding the F5 key on the keyboard. It will ask you to locate the Emailer
Files folder... point it to this folder you just found.


chris. thanks for the reply. when i go into work tomorrow. i'll give your advice a try. i "think" Emailer knows where the database is as it rebuilds okay, but perhaps then nothing is there when the program opens.

i'll let the list know what happened.

at long last, I have an answer.


This was a great try. And at least it brought us back to the state which things were when the Publisher initially opened Emailer (I wasn't here that day, and so have been trying to pick up the pieces since then.)

So here's the initial error message, anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem:

"Claris Emailer could not open the required file "Mail Database" because a read was attempted beyond the end of a file. Press OK to quit."
