First question is, if it works on 8.6, why do it on 9.1? Just do it on 8.6 then transfer the rebuilt database back to 9.1 (or am I missing something here).
This is what I ended up doing. But it was bothering me that I couldn't get it to work on that computer. Just one of those things I guess.
Next, if it gets close, but doesn't quite finish, do two things. 1: run a disk first aid utility to verify the drive is good. Next, try removing the Mail Index file and then start Emailer again (this forces an advanced rebuild, but it has been known to fix things that the Advanced Rebuild option fails on).
If I need to in the future. I'll try this too.
