I didn't realize they came from the same source.

I generally prefer PDF's since I can download them and put them on a 
stick drive.  Sometimes internet access is not available.
With a big hose to the internet, and cheap high capacity stick drives, 
downloading and saving large files is not much of an issue for me any 
longer.

But I am just one of many.
