One could follow the guidelines in the standard but the alternatives are sometimes as costly as buying the test equipment that does this automatically. The alternatives are labor intensive except in the simplest of products. Look at the web site www.ergonomicsusa.com for test equipment. They also rent equipment for the occasional user.
