Hi John,

I notice that some people refer to IEC 60950 for this type of product with
regard to its charging circuit with computer (ITE equipment) and the rest
refers to IEC 60065 with regard to its primary function of audio/video
playback.  Which one is more appropriate to determine the standard?

IEC/EN 60335-2-29 is specific to chargers and is not suitable for 
complete products with another function even if a charging circuit is 
included. IEC/EN 60065 is the correct standard to apply.
