I think you have the answer.
I have had a hole in my head from the beginning with Motenc.
The EMC 2.3 documentation does not show an "-index-enable"
option for the Motenc.
Is there one?
I was trying to connect using the -index, -idx-latch,  -latch-index
etc., which didn't work.
