Hi, I finally find a little time to continue exploring e! ;) I found the files you mention in /usr/share/desktop-directories/, but there are only files for KDE and Xfce, nothing generic (in the sens of "desktop neutral"). Examples: kde-office.directory [...] kde-utilities-xutils.directory kde-utilities.directory xfce-accessories.directory xfce-development.directory [...] xfce-office.directory These files contain translations used in KDE and Xfce. With German language settings, for the category "Office" I see - "Büroprogramme" in KDE - "Büro" in Xfce - "Office" in e. So e doesn't pick up any of these translations, whereas it uses correct translations for application names. It's only the category, that remains English. Question is now: Where does e look for application categories? BTW, I am on Slackware64-13.37, e build is 64019.
