Of course it's common sense. One can't start mucking with an application's
code and expect that updates to the software will apply nicely. Hope maybe,
but expect? That's like lowering your car and then having the manufacturer
recall the vehicles for a muffler redesign which can't be applied due to the
fact that there isn't enough ground clearance.
