Oh, you meant in combination with the other criteria for "all events". Yes, you're right. You can just leave off the Category stuff, as you say. Just the single "Recurrence" (Any or None) will do. the only reason for the "Category" stuff with "match if ANY criteria are met" was for an easy way to get everything, since the Custom Field composer doesn't let you have no criteria at all. (Any pair of contradictory criteria with "ANY" will do.) Once you have even one real criterion (e.g., I often use "Category is not Holiday" to exclude holidays when looking at all other events) you don't need anything else. And particularly, as you say, if needing two criteria with "ALL" it won't work.
