Did you check to see if you have "leave a copy of each message on server"
under the Options tab in the account?  If no, then....

Do this...In your Account under the Options tab, select Allow Online Access.

Now check your mail using the icon for Online Access. Do you still see the
messages? If yes. Delete them all.

Does the problem continue with new messages that are delivered to this
account? If yes, then we can direct you to other options then.
