Hi Louise, I just noticed something I should have looked for before. You have never updated Office 2001 which means that you are missing the important Service Release 1 as well as subsequent updates. The following article was written for Word 2001 but the Basics section is just as true for Entourage as Word. It will tell you exactly how to update.

And in case you speak to an Earthlink rep who actually knows Macs and Entourage, at least you'll be able to say that you're fully updated in case s/he asks or tries to blame the problem on Entourage.
