Title: Re: Shared mailbox problem
Peter,
Yeah, it’s looking like that is the case; only seeing changes after the Sync (not send/receive).

Remo,
I remember reading that the front-end does not support delegation or GAL when in reference to working outside the network from a public net connection. What about when plugged into the LAN? Will delegation and Gal work since I’ll have a valid internal LDAP server specified in the account prefs?

Thank you all for the feedback by the way...

Remo, I believe that's correct that there is a hard-coded sync schedule, but from what I remember, it's once per minute, so it shouldn't be taking 5 minutes for one of these changes to take effect unless I'm not aware of some information related to how shared mailboxes are handled.  Up to 2 minutes, however, does seem reasonable.  Have you actually timed it to see how long it takes, Darrin, or was 5 minutes an estimate?

I don't use Entourage with Exchange, so keep the salt handy...

I remember reading somewhere that Entourage 2004 has a hard-coded sync schedule for Exchange accounts. Hopefully someone with some real knowledge will confirm this (I looked in the list archives, but all I found was "Microsoft told me" accounts). Hitting "Send and Receive" actually doesn't affect the Exchange account. I'm guessing that you are seeing the delay because Entourage doesn't actually move the message until the next sync occurs and then the other users don't see the change until their next sync occurs.
