I have freezes/stalls on a G5 Dual Core so it isn't happening on just MacBooks. It happens 100% of the time when incoming mail is received (total PITA while working). Only Entourage locks up, but it's a total lock up and I can't do anything within Entourage.
Unfortunately, I just tried the disable background integrity check and it did not help one bit.
