Hi Thomas,
Since the Split-image screen in my camera is an adapted retrofit, I
didn't look closely at the Ec series specs.
Which screen is specified not to black out with slow lenses?
How is it different from the other screens?
To my simple-minded way of thinking, blackout will occur when the two
halves of the split are not located symmetrically about the axis between
the lens and the eye. Otherwise, why should one side black out and
the other not?
