RE: EOS When to use a UV Filter.

My "UV" filters are standard grade Hoyas.  I just put one on the light box,
and
guess what?  I can't see even the slightest yellow tint.  I think I'll still
hang onto them as emergency lens caps anyway.

If its a standard HOYA it uses L39 glass which is very good.  Try another
fluorescent light source.
It should tint a slight yellow.
