Once again thanks for the information and comments. I really do appreciate
your help.
I am glad Canon is conservative in rating the minimum focus of the
EF 28-135mm IS.
Also I did not know the 1v can only focus on vertical detail at f/5.6 with
the EF 28-135mm IS! The 1v is my first EOS camera so I am completely new to
the terminology.
Are there EOS cameras that can focus in the horizontal (as well as the
vertical formats) at f/5.6?
At what f-stop will the high precision focus sensor be activated?
What EOS bodies and lenses are you currently using? What types of
photography do you enjoy?
