Hi Syed,

In order to get a magnification of 1:1 on a 135mm lens
set to infinity, you would need to put a 135mm close-up
lens in front. This corresponds to a 7.4 diopter lens.

You could achieve close to this by stacking all three
single-element lenses in the kit together: 1+2+4=7

If you would send me a set for free, I would be happy to
compare it against the Canon 500D :-) And to see how bad
is the chromatic aberration, and if the multi-coating on
the close-up lenses is as good as they say.

What effects were you expecting on sharpness and contrast?

Cheers
