Well, my requirements and your requirements seems to
be different. Pictures on a computer monitor compared
to a projected slide is like day and night. Even if I
would use any of the 65" HDTVs from my fiancee's
brothers it would be NO comparison (yes, I have looked
on images from a D1 on this TV). So the only choice
seems to be a digital projector. Since they are so
expensive I've never tried it and therefore I can't
comment on the quality.

I am not sure what the quality of a 3MPixel camera
(D30) is. That is why I am in the middle of comparing
a D1 against my 1n + SS4000. Output will be on an
Epson 1200 with MINIMUM 8x10".

I don't plan to shoot 12*100=1200 rolls of film a
year. If so and if 3MPixel indeed is enough to get >=
8x10" prints then I would buy a digital camera as it
would offset the cost. After some years even for a
digital projector.

Finally, I don't think I would shoot much more with a
digital camera.

Anyway, there is no question that sooner of later I
will change to digital. But for me the time is not
ripe yet.
