When I bought my first camera, it was an EOS 1000F. At that time it was the
kind of price I wanted (and could ;-) pay. The other choice was the N**on
"equivalent" in terms of price (I can't remember which one). I choose EOS
because the other brand was taking the user for less than nothing. One
thing I remember in particular: no information what so ever about shutter
speed or aperture in the viewfinder. In other words, my EOS 1000F grew
with me and it's only recently that I felt limited by it.
